We’re closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to check for guidance from the CDC, State and Federal Governments. We are taking a well-informed and measured response that protects our employees and the public while delivering safe, reliable natural gas service.
We understand the pandemic has created additional challenges for families.
We have temporarily suspended all service disconnections for non-payment. We know our customers are concerned about their families. Providing safe, reliable natural gas service allows them to focus on their families. We urge our customers to make every effort to keep their accounts current during this period where we are suspending disconnections. If customers anticipate problems paying their natural gas bill, they should contact our Customer Service Center to discuss payment options. That number is 1-800-834-2070.
For both customer and employee safety, at this time, when a customer needs their natural gas turned on, employees will not enter customers premises to light appliances. When calling our Customer Call Center, customers will be advised of these new COVID-19 guidelines. Customers will be asked if they are able to light their own appliance. If they are unable, customers will be informed to call and reschedule once they have someone on site (family member, friend, plumber) to do so.
Our operations and construction crews are critical to keeping safe, reliable natural gas service continuing for you and doing it in a way to minimize exposure to the virus. Employees whose job functions allow them to work from home have been asked to do so until further notice.
